Meet the Artist
Laurel conitnually feeds her interest in painting by taking workshops and classes at the Sharon Arts Center, Peterborough, NH, the Currier Art Musuem School, Manchester, NH and the New Hampshire Institute of Art, Manchster, NH. She holds a B.A. in Education and currently teaches fifth grade at a Manchester public school.

Laurel captures the charm of days gone by using detail, small scale, and a quiet palette. She has taken advantage of her family's extensive travels throughout Europe by painting journals of her travels and using them to develop more detailed paintings in her studio. Her favorite subjects have been the plants and landscapes found in New England, France, Scotland and Ireland.

Laurel is a juried member of the New Hampshire Artists Association, the East Colony Fine Art Gallery at Langer Place in the Manchester Millyard, the Sharon Arts Center, and the Newburyport Art Association. She is on the faculty of the New Hampshire Institute of Art and teaches workshops at Canterbury Shaker Village.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous juried shows and is in the permenant collections of Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury, England.
